Curlew Cottage

Curlew Cottage… is a one bedroom stone built former lead miner’s cottage dating from the 18th century which commands panoramic views over Swaledale from its elevated position. The cottage is bright and airy with wooden floors throughout. It has been stylishly furnished and decorated to a high standard. Curlew Cottage offers self-catering holiday accommodation which is both cosy and provides every home from home convenience including wifi. Curlew Cottage is heated throughout by easy to use wall mounted electric storage/convector heaters. The cottage is strictly non-smoking throughout and accepts one well-behaved dog. There is ample off-road gravelled parking to the side and rear of the cottage.

Bedroom

The bedroom… has a super king size bed which is comfortably accommodated in this spacious room. The room includes a high beamed ceiling and feature fireplace. Superb views of the dale can be enjoyed from the window, which benefits from a cushioned window seat.

Sitting Room

The sitting room… With dining area provides ample seating and benefits from uninterrupted views of Swaledale. There is an electric flame effect wood-burning stove. There is an HD television with Freeview. A separate set top box also provides Freeview digital channels and digital radio stations together with an integral DVD/video player (which can also play CDs).

Fitted Kitchen

The fitted kitchen… is well equipped and incorporates an electric hob and oven, kettle, toaster, washing machine, microwave and fridge with freezer compartment. An iron and ironing board is also provided. Exiting the kitchen, the original stone stairs lead to the first floor.

Bathroom

The bathroom… is on the first floor of the cottage and incorporates a bath with a hand held shower over the bath, WC and wash hand basin. There is a shaver point and heated towel rail, perfect for those that like a nice warm bathroom as well as warm towels!

Patio Area

Outside… a wrought iron table and chairs for the personal use of guests is situated on the cottage’s gravelled terrace from where you can enjoy an open view of the dale, stunning throughout all the seasons.
